Me and my wife had two goals for 2026 first off was to become husband and wife in second of off. Was to buy a home if we could.. Last year I did a mortgage with Heather and Kristina and immediately went back to them this year to buy a 2nd property in Bozeman. this one was more of a challenge given it was a new construction with tons of delays from the builder/subs and the City of Bozeman to get the paperwork filed and the condo completed. Again they were super professional and kept me appraised of the situation and the loan all throughout the process. I know interest rates are crazy but I wanted a unit for my college student at Montana State that he could easily walk to classes from the condo. Happily we closed last Fri and I just figure I am dating this mortgage rate and married to the property. I will work on paying it off or refinance with Black Diamond Mortgage in the future once rates correct. Separately, I worked with Heather Nelson and her processor Kristina @ Black Diamond to do a reverse mortgage on a condo I bought in Bozeman. It will be an investment property this year and our college son and a roommate will live in it next year. I am self employed and finding financing can be a challenge. They were the best to work with! Heather kept me informed the entire process, assisted with the steps required to close. The closing was virtual and very easy with a notary Heather recommended in CO where I live the majority of the time. I will use Black Diamond Mortgage again for my next property in MT. We really started shopping for homes and found one that we liked. We put in an offer, the offer was accepted and had our pre approval and loan started the next day. It was an easy 30 day close.
